National Indigenous History Month

June 2, 2026

June is National Indigenous History Month, a time to celebrate the rich histories, cultures, languages, and contributions of First Nations, Inuit, and Métis Peoples.

At Anishinaabe Pimadiziwin Inc., we know that our languages, teachings, and cultural practices are vital to the health and wellbeing of our communities. By keeping our cultures alive and supporting one another, we honour those who came before us while creating stronger futures for the generations yet to come.

Throughout this month, we encourage everyone to take time to learn, reflect, and celebrate Indigenous voices, stories, and achievements. Together, we continue the work of strengthening our communities and keeping our traditions alive.

Let this month be a reminder that Indigenous history is not only something to remember- it is something that continues to be lived every day.
