National Day for Truth and Reconciliation 2025

October 1, 2025

Yesterday, on September 30th 2025, our communities came together in their own ways to honor National Day for Truth and Reconciliation and Orange Shirt Day. This is a time to remember the children who never returned home from residential schools, and to stand with the Survivors whose strength continues to guide us.

Each gathering is a reminder that our children are sacred. They are the future of our Nations, and it is our responsibility to protect and uplift them. On this day, and every day, we honor the voices of Survivors and carry forward the memory of those lost, so that the truth is never forgotten.

Meegwetch to everyone who took part in commemorating this important day with respect and solidarity.
